Pregnancy Myth - Pregnancy Lasts For 9 Months - That's What Most People Think But Its Just Not True

Pregnancy - How Long Does It Last?

Even those of us who know nothing about pregnancy or women's issues know this to be true: Pregnancy lasts for 9 months. Well most human pregnancies do... right?

Not true! Pregnancy does not follow our modern western calender. Most gestations actually take 38 weeks to complete plus 2 weeks from the first day of your last period.

Of course each pregnancy and baby is unique, but for the majority 40 weeks or 240 days (from the first day of your last menstrual cycle) is the official length of pregnancy which is exactly 10 lunar months. Not 9 calendar months. So, the difference is very little. But it is important nonetheless.

Pregnancy and the 10 Moons

The journey from the potential of a new baby into the reality of same happens over 10 moons.

Another of the little reminders from nature that women, womanhood and our fertility are intimately connected to something much bigger...

This beautiful goddess of the night sky is telling us that we are part of a much greater story that is more mysterious and beautiful than perhaps we are aware. In doing so she helps us to detach from (what can become ) an obsession with dates, ovulation and menstruation and trust more that we are safe in the loving hands of the universe.

Pregnancy Success and the Law of Attraction

When you can feel this, your point of attraction changes so that you begin to see even more evidence that you do indeed belong to something much more magical. You are never alone on your journey into pregnancy success.
